Géographie du corps

« A body to variable geographies »

Can the body be a geographical object?

Project which builds itself simultaneously or there moved on 2 parallel and complementary orientations:

1 - The body landscape
A body makes of earth, water, wills and fears. A landscape is constituted by earth, by water, by sky and of living. By leaving of these data, I register the body in a landscape and make have a dialogue the constituent elements of the one and the other one. For that purpose, I create a housing environment within the landscape to place the body, so that it finds a space convenient to the dance there. I dig a puddle for the water, a bed for the mud, a nest for the dust. The body becomes identified with the subject which it crosses. It becomes the same moldable earth in the infinity. We so mean the deployment of the body in the landscape. In a dance taking its inspiration in the ostinato, it springs from itself while drawing its energy from the material. The body has to transform, fit out the landscape to live there. In the occupant, it redefines it in its dimension and brings to light its activity. The body has to transform, fit out the landscape to live there. In the occupant, it redefines it in its dimension and brings to light its activity. The body becomes then passage between the man and the nature enters immobility and living, between the nature and the constructed.

2 - The body city
Michelet spoke about a city as about a person, with a body and a soul, and the urban modern thought was often inspired by this metaphor to understand the urban invention, make it more accessible and more human. We find in this metaphor of the words as heart, lung, artery, center. These constituent human elements of the body will be on the base of the danced movement. Put a choreographic glance on the city means making have a dialogue the body dancing with its mapping, its spaces, its intimacies. The dance would take place on the border between the fragile structure of the body and the geography of the place. The dance becomes link, interphase, junction between the sensitive and the constructed, between the evidence and the supposed. The body collides with the rough, with the cut, the dance explains the sensualism, the touch, the envy to meet.

To take back a paper about a work of Sylvia Rhud, painter sculptor " there mix the serenity of a full, powerful, structuring material and the mystery of a movement, a light and fragile balance. "

In what is the city become a body and seems does it so look like her inhabitants? In what can this body is also able to oppose to theirs and threaten them?
